German aircraft designer Ernst Heinkel (January 24, 1888 - January 30, 1958) became one of the symbols of the German Luftwaffe. The author, the German historian Dr. Volker Koos, has been collecting photographs, studying historical documents and capturing the memories of Heinkel's collaborators for decades. His work documents the design activities of Ernst Heinkel from World War I until 1958.
